The MQ-9 is a semiconductor sensor capable of detecting carbon monoxide (CO) and combustible gases like methane and propane. It uses a temperature cycling method—low voltage for CO detection and high voltage for cleaning and detecting flammable gases. Its SnO2 sensing material ensures high sensitivity and dual gas detection capability, making it cost-effective for home and industrial gas monitoring systems.
