Features:
The MQ-4 is a semiconductor-based gas sensor primarily used for detecting methane (CH4) and natural gas. It also responds to other combustible gases like propane and butane. Known for its high sensitivity, long lifespan, and simple drive circuit, the MQ-4 is ideal for gas leak alarms and portable gas detection systems in residential and industrial settings.

Specifications:
  • Input voltage: DC 5V
  • Power consumption: 150mA
  • DO output: TTL digital 1 and 0 (0.1V and 5V)
  • AO output: 0.1V to 0.3V (clean air), up to ~4V (high concentration)
  • Detection gas: Methane, natural gas, propane, butane
  • Detection range: 300 to 10000 ppm
  • Sensing resistance (Rs): 2k ohm to 20k ohm (in 5000 ppm CH4)
  • Sensitivity: Rs (in air) / Rs (in 5000 ppm CH4) >=5
  • Preheat time: Over 48 hours
